How items drop

Two kinds of item drop from run battles, each on its own roll. Neither needs a Daycare companion; one along for the run adds 1% to both.

KindPer winWith a companionCaps
Held items, for PvP and Samsara6%7%2 a run, 8 a day, 10 of any one item
Trade items, for the Daycare6%7%2 a run, 8 a day, 10 of each

Which tier of held item drops leans on the companion's level: the higher it is, the more often rare and epic come up. Without one it rolls as a level 1 would, mostly common. Neither kind rolls in PvP, in Samsara, or on a loss.

The Token Casino

Found at the PokeStops along whichever road you took out of the cave, so which game you get is decided by that fork and not by you. Spend Gold to play for Tokens, then spend Tokens in the Token Shop. The Shop is the same either way, and so is what a play is worth: the two games pay the same on average and differ only in shape.

Lucky Dice, on the Cinder Road. Roll three dice for Tokens, one roll at a time or five at once. Pairs are common and small, a triple is rare and large.

Blackjack, on the Cruise Ship. Beat the dealer without going over 21. The dealer stands on all 17s, and there is no doubling, splitting or insurance. A natural blackjack pays 3:2, a push pays half, and five cards without busting wins on the spot for the biggest payout in either game.

Held items

Carried into the Spire and into PvP. These are read live from the game database when the page opens, so they are current even between builds.
